Meet Maureen Gomez

My name is Maureen Gomez, founder and lead interior designer of Maureen Gomez Interiors, and my passion lies in creating vibrant, comfortable spaces which are unique and personal you. With a deep appreciation for the heritage of period properties, I specialise in enhancing their charm and character, while creating functional, modern homes.

My philosophy is simple; to collaborate with you, translating your taste into an interior that is comfortable and elegant, while remaining sympathetic your home’s history. 

With a background in Fine Art and Design, I approach each project creatively, incorporating artworks, colour, pattern and textiles, along with a mix of antiques and contemporary elements. 

I have a warm and friendly approach, and work with a network of trusted tradesmen, suppliers and specialists to ensure every project is completed beautifully. Nothing gives me more pleasure that seeing my clients living joyfully in their home, once a project is completed.

 

After finding Maureen on Instagram and instantly feeling a connection with her taste and vision, I reached out for some help with decorating the downstairs living, dining and kitchen of my new house (a terraced Victorian property). From the get-go, Maureen was extremely friendly, open-minded and brimming with ideas and enthusiasm about my house. I had painted myself into a corner having gone with bold colours in my kitchen, but Maureen helped balance the downstairs with perfect colour suggestions, which I ended up using. She also put forward some furniture and lighting suggestions that were spot-on for the space. However, what I really appreciated was that Maureen was willing to work with and around the pieces that I already had to further elevate them, rather than telling me to start completely fresh. She was also respectful of the budget I was working with, which I appreciated. The resulting design boards she sent were outstanding, and so easy to use, as you can automatically click through and shop items. I cannot overstate how helpful Maureen was in shaping the tone, feel and character of my home! I would work with her again in a second, and would certainly recommend her to anyone.
