Client- Centred Interior Design Services

I am dedicated to collaborating with clients who value the heritage of their homes and wish to preserve it’s character and charm. I work on a select handful of large and smaller projects at a time, to ensure each client gets the care and attention they deserve.

If you do not already have a builder or tradespeople, I will utilise my little black book of contacts and ensure that a team is assembled to create your dream home.

Maureen was integral to the full renovation of our Victorian property that we rent out fully furnished. Before the work started, it had the bleakness of a student flat with magnolia walls and Ikea furniture. Maureen completely transformed it by focussing on the original Victorian features and making them the centre of attention in each of the rooms. She selected heritage colours for the paintwork which has given the property a sense of opulence and sophistication. She also taught us how to source vintage and antique lighting, rugs and furniture that reflected the heritage of the apartment and elevated it into a unique rental experience. She also designed gorgeous window treatments. Everyone who stays there comments on the style and beauty of the place. I highly recommend Maureen's interior design services.

The Design Process

The Consultation and Briefing Phase

Once you have made your enquiry, we book an onsite consultation to discuss your project further. In order to fully understand the scope of the project, I will listen carefully to your ideas and desires, as well as your practical and budget requirements. I encourage you to send any inspirational images you have collected and I delve into your unique vision and personality, so that your ideas are translated into a project that feels truly personal to you.

Concept Development

I create the look and feel for your project including ideas with regards to any internal architectural reconfiguration, joinery elements such as kitchen and wardrobes, wall finishes, flooring, lighting, furniture and fabrics. I will then present the concept to you in a series of mood boards and visuals, along with samples of paints, fabrics and hard finishes to allow you to visualise the space. You feedback is really important to me at this stage, as I will use that to make any refinements needed.

Design Development

This is where I finalise your project to truly reflect your vision and create detailed designs for joinery, lighting and electrical plans, elevations and furniture layouts and finalise all colour schemes, furniture and finishes. I will create a schedule of works and be prepared for any construction or decorating work ahead.

Procurement and On Site Coordination

I can take care of the sourcing and procuring of everything required for your interior. I will meet with you to run through the schedule and give support throughout the work, ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with the specifications. I work closely with the contractor with regular site visits, and can manage deliveries and specialist trades when required. I am completely dedicated to ensuring that everything runs smoothly throughout the process.

Styling

I will install all of the lovely pieces we’ve selected, ordered and had made. I will oversee hanging of mirrors and artwork, installation of window dressings and furniture, laying of rugs, and positioning of ornaments, plants and lamps. I will add all of the finishing touches to your rooms, so that they feel truly like home to you.
